Increased Latency and Server Outage

At 5:00AM (UTC) our 24hr monitoring services identified an issue causing severe latency and server outages. These issues were caused by multi-hard drive failures and failed system checks by our host, AWS. AWS is currently working to be sure such instances do not re-occur in the future.
